Fundraising at the RAF Club for Fly 2 Help
We recently had the pleasure of attending the annual gala dinner for a great charity, Fly 2 Help. The dinner was held at the glorious setting of the RAF club and brought together many people within the world of aviation, all with a passion for helping the charity. We are delighted to have helped raise in excess of £30 000 along with many other kind and generous donators.
The Typhoon Display team have this year selected Fly 2 Help as one of their charities and Flt Lt Jim Peterson attended as the after dinner speaker, a definite highlight of the evening.

Aiming High!
Phil O’Dell, founder of the charity, did a fantastic job of encouraging the guests to dig deep and bid..bid..bid! Prizes included a flight in a Spitfire, signed print from the very talented David Bent, Fortumn & Mason hamper and a tour of the famous Aardman Studios .
We were delighted to contribute by donating a Chinook Weekend bag and wash bag. We’re pleased to say the set helped towards a grand total on the night in excess of £30000.
What does Fly 2 Help do?
Fly 2 Help recognises the power of flight. The charity offers Air Smiles Days for individuals and families coping with physical disabilities, distress, anxiety or isolation. It also offers week-long scholarship programmes and an alumni network for those considering future careers in the aviation industry but would otherwise find the the entry costs prohibitive, the Aim High programme gives them the insight and motivation they need to keep going.
Why and how we helped.
It isn’t difficult to understand why we chose to help a charity like Fly 2 Help, their work is inspirational and really does make a difference to families and future generations of the aviation world. We were very happy to donate a Chinook Weekend Bag and Wash Bag set for the live auction, as well as providing a gift for each guest, the perfect time to launch the latest addition to our BBMF range of gifts, the Lancaster coaster.Â
If you would like to know more about the charity or would like to offer your aviation based services contact any of their staff via their website.
Father’s day is coming – have a browse of our military and non-aviation themed leather gifts and personalise to make it even more special.
