RAFA began in its original form in 1929 aiming to support the welfare of serving and ex-serving RAF personnel. It continues in the same vein today, helping those in need across the RAF. Storybook Wings is one of our favourite initiatives and you can read more about it here.Â
A new charity for 2019 we are delighted to be in a position to donate a portion of profits from every sale to the Benevolent Fund. Can you help them increase their connections with veterans within your community? Read more here
We don’t do sales but we do do charity! As well as supporting our 2 main charities we try where we can to support others through donations or sponsorship. Here are a few examples.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospice – Schofield Charity Shoot
Having gained Phillip Schofield as an ASALI fan we were invited to take part in the annual charity shoot, in collaboration with the Peter Jones Foundation, raising funds for the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. Our donations contributed to over £130 000 that was raised on the day!
FLY 2 HELP
In July 2019 we were delighted to support Fly2Help at their annual dinner at the RAF Club. As well as donating to live auction we were able to provide gifts for the guests in the form of a Lancaster Coaster. Read more here.Â
Jon Egging Trust
As well has having supported JET through sales we have donated luggage items for their annual dinner raising funds via their silent auction. Along side bigger events we have been pleased to support charity talks with JET and the Typhoon Display Team.
Age UK Lincoln
Keeping it local we are pleased to support Age UK Lincoln, raising funds at their annual dinner at the Hilton, Lincolnshire.
